Our Specialty ‘Belgian Dark Ale’ is Now on Tap
ABV / 8.1%
It is completely fair and true to say that our Belgian Dark Strong Ale was conceived from the “conical loins” of our recent Golden Strong Ale. Meaning we harvested as much healthy yeast (the rather special Belgian yeast we used on that beer) as we could from the cone of the fermenter and re-pitched to ferment our Dark Strong Ale, blending in a small amount of an Abbey yeast to boot. With this rather “scrummy” beer we hope to see out the last days of winter. It has been nurtured in the tank now for an extended period, gently absorbing co2 as it conditions, and the results is quite simply, like a glass of fine, creamy, soft, delicious, elegant Belgian milk chocolate, with subtle hints of stone fruits and berries soaked in cognac. Pure decadence.
