We were in celebration mode over the weekend, after getting a phone call that had been more than 2 years in the pipeline! It’s with great pride and excitement that we can announce that, as of last Thursday, Monk Craft Brewery & Kitchen is licensed for you to eat, drink, stand or sit, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME!
Previously, we were licensed as a restaurant, which meant we were fairly restricted on how we could serve our guests – people couldn’t order drinks at the bar, and we couldn’t give samples on our brewery tours until people were seated back at a table. Our new tavern license, which came into effect last Thursday, changes this!
Our focus on great food and drinks including our craft beer (made-in-house, preservative free) and farmhouse cold pressed cider will stay the same, it will just happen in a more flexible environment that better serves our customers. The new tavern license also means we will be able to host a greater variety of events – both private functions and events that we put on for the community. It’s great for business, great for Fremantle, and we are already thinking about lots of exciting plans for the future.
